Devils, Moose tied for second

SCFAHL

The Richmond Devils won twice, and the Meadow Ridge Moose won one, leaving both teams tied for second place with the only perfect record in the league at 3-0-0 (who-lost-tied).
The Kamloops Vibe, the defending league champions, were idle in Week Three but still occupy first place with a 3-0-1 mark.
The Devils played twice at the Great Pacific Forum last weekend, defeating the South Fraser TNT 4-1 Saturday afternoon then topping the Delta Jets 6-2 Sunday.
Deanna Mohr and Allison Detina gave Richmond a 2-0 lead after one period against the TNT, then Stefanie Costales scored once and assisted on a goal from Alex Yallouz in the third. Former Devil Tara Khan netted the lone TNT goal, while Renee Romain stopped14 of 15 shots in the Richmond goal for her first win of the season.
Against the Jets, Richmond fired 58 shots at the Delta goal and scored four times in the first period to their way to a second win in as many days. Jenny Wilson, Kendall Boone, Detina and Sabrina Wong found the net in the first period, with Yallouz scoring the final two goals for the Devils.
Alyssa Theodore and Kayla Mackie scored for the Jets, who fell to 1-1-0 on the season.
The first-year Moose dominated the winless Trinity Western University Titans Sunday night in Maple Ridge, earning a 12-0 victory.
Emily McGrath scored once and assisted on three goals for a four-point night to take over the league’s scoring lead. Kristin Hazzard, Madeline Cockrill and Sierra Rai each scored twice for the Moose, with Kirsten Langston, Jade Werger, Kimberley White, Clara Gaudet and Emily Jude adding one each.
Alexandra Frisk made seven saves for the shutout.
