Playing for the first time since Week One, the Kamloops Vibe posted a pair of wins by shutout to stay atop the South Coast Female Amateur Hockey League.
The Vibe blanked the visiting Delta Jets 4-0 and 3-0 last weekend in Kamloops. In Saturday’s contest, Alissa Hibbert made 15 saves for the shutout, while Sarah Kurzac, Melissa Brun, Melinda Smith and Gaylene Smith scored once each. In Sunday’s rematch, Rochelle Smith tallied twice and Jenna Ormondy added one while Ashley Fisher had the 15-save shutout.
The South Fraser TNT also had a two-game road trip, and earned three of a possible four points while playing in the provincial capital. Tara Khan scored twice and Brittney Kwasney earned the shutout Saturday as the TNT defeated the Victoria Phantoms 5-0. Kirsten Mihalcheon had a goal and three assists for the TNT. Emily Abercromby and Michele Reid completed the scoring.
In the rematch Sunday, Melinda Choy made 31 saves in the Phantoms goal to lift her team to a 3-3 tie. Hannah Coates, Alisha Choy and Pam Lou-Poy scored for Victoria. Cathy Hambly had two for the TNT and Khan added her third goal of the weekend.
 Simon Fraser University split their two games on the weekend. They fell 4-1 to the Meadow Ridge Moose Friday night in Surrey, with Clara Gaudet scoring twice for the Moose and Vanessa Leuszler and Kristin Hazzard adding singles.
Nicole Bidwell replied for SFU.
Michela Deluca and Sam Schiller had two goals each for SFU in a 5-2 victory over the Trinity Western University Titans Sunday in Langley. Sarah Luong also scored for SFU while Alissa Piers and Emma Neilson were the TWU goal scorers.
The Titans also lost to the Richmond Devils Saturday night, falling 11-1. Jodie Wong with four goals and Alex Yallouz with three goals and two assists paced Richmond to the win. Jane Gregory-Herbold also had a four-point game that included two goals. Stefanie Costales and Claire Benwood netted a goal each for Richmond, with Karlie Friesen notching the lone TWU tally.
