Week 11: Moose get a win, tie in Kamloops

The Meadow Ridge Moose no longer have a perfect record, but they remain undefeated.
The Moose traveled to Kamloops for two games in Week 11, and returned home with a 3-3 tie and a 2-1 victory to extend their lead atop the standings to seven points.
Meadow Ridge survived a Vibe rally in the third period of Saturday's game at the Ice Box to earn the tie. Kristin Hazzard tallied two goals to give the visitors a 2-0 lead after two periods.
Kamloops responded with one goal from Jenna Ormondy and two from Alyssa Reid to take a 3-2 lead with six minutes to play. Emily McGrath scored a tying goal with 2:17 remaining.
A day later on McArthur Island, it was the Vibe with a lead after two periods. Ormondy scored early in the second period for a 1-0 lead.
Meadow Ridge came back in the third period, with McGrath tying the game with 16 minutes to go and Madison Sands scoring the winner with just 3:29 remaining.
The Moose go into the Christmas break with a 14-0-1 record, with the Vibe in second place at 9-2-4.
The South Fraser TNT moved into a tie for third place with the Richmond Devils by winning their final two games of 2013. Tara Khan and Cathy Hambly scored twice each in a 6-3 win over the Delta Jets Saturday afternoon in North Delta. Emily Muir and Michele Mony added singles.
Krista Ann Prins, Alyssa Theodore and Amanda Christie replied for the Jets.
Sunday in Victoria, the TNT blanked the Victoria Phantoms 12-0. Muir had an eight-point game that included three goals and five assists. Hambly netted four goals, while Kirsten Mihalcheon scored twice and collected five assists. Sharon Ross, Claire Wong and Emily Abercromby completed the TNT scoring. Brittney Kwasney made 10 saves for her second shutout of the season.
