Moose top Delta, remain unbeaten

The Meadow Ridge Moose have extended their lead to nine points atop the standings, after winning their first game of 2014 last Sunday night.
The Moose stopped the Delta Jets 4-0 in Maple Ridge, getting two goals from Clara Gaudet and one each from Kristin Hazzard and Brittany Wakefield.
Alexandra Frisk made 18 saves for her league-best fourth shutout of the season. The Mosse remain unbeaten at 15-0-1.
The Richmond Devils won a pair of games on Vancouver Island, sweeping the Victoria Phantoms 5-1 Saturday and 3-0 on Sunday.
Jody Wong netted the hat trick for the Devils in the first game, with Simran Sidhu and Stefanie Costales adding singles. In the second game Sunday, played in Esquimalt, Wong, Sidhu and Nicole Lum were the goal scorers while Kasey Schell earned the shutout.
The South Fraser TNT toppled the Jets 6-1 in the final game of the weekend. Playing Saturday in North Delta, the TNT got two goals each from former UBC T-Birds Kirsten Mihalcheon and Haleigh Callison and a goal apiece from Emily Muir and Emily Abercromby.
