Week 18: Vibe move closer to Moose

The Kamloops Vibe kept their hopes of a first-place finish alive with a sweep of the South Fraser TNT.
The Vibe moved to within three points of the Meadow Ridge Moose atop the standings with victories by 5-1 and 5-2 margins.
Sarah Kurzac, Emily Edmundson, Alyssa Reid, Elain Topolnisky and Taylor Miller netted the goals in Saturday's game, which saw the Vibe score three unanswered third period goals to break open a one-goal game.
Kirsten Mihalcheon replied for South Fraser.
Sunday's contest was also close until the third period, with the TNT tied with Kamloops 2-2 with eight minutes to play. Rochelle Smith with two goals, Edmundson, Bianca Mirabelli and Melinda Smith were the Vibe goal scorers.
Mihalcheon and Kathy Hambly scored for the TNT.
The Moose won their only game of the week, blanking Simon Fraser University 2-0. Madeline Cockrill and Kristen Langston were the goal scorers while Paige Clarke made 12 saves for the shutout.
Two other games in Week 18 resulted in ties.
Simon Fraser played to a 2-2 deadlock with the Richmond Devils Saturday night. SFU's Katrina Armstrong put the visitors ahead 1-0 in the second period, but the Devils tied the game with 11 minutes to play on a goal by Allison Detina. Jodie Wong put Richmond ahead with just 35 seconds left in the game, but 10 seconds later, Simon Fraser pulled even with Michela Deluca scoring.
Sunday in North Delta, the Trinity Western University Titans played to a scoreless tie with the Delta Jets. Naomi Fishbein made 25 saves in the Titans goal for the shutout, while Kassandra Johnston stopped 24 in the Delta net
