Week 21: Moose Clinch 1st Place

There was something on the line in each of the final two games of the regular season played Sunday.

Week 21 concluded with the Meadow Ridge Moose clinching first place with a 6-1 win over the Trinity Western University Titans, while the Delta Jets fell 7-0 to the South Fraser TNT, a result that sends Simon Fraser University to the provincial championships.
The Moose scored four times in the last 10 minutes to play to break open a close game for their league-best 21st win of the season, which lifted them past the Kamloops Vibe into the top spot.
Sierra Rai netted a pair of goals for the Moose, with Kristin Hazzard, Vanessa Lsuszler, Hayley Rodger and Breanna Josephson adding one each. Alissa Piers scored for the Titans.

The TNT posted a pair of wins over teams looking for points in a race for the final place at next week's provincial championship tournament.
On Sunday, Cathy Hambly tallied three times and assisted on three others. Haleigh Callison, Jaime Jacquard-Sowa and Tara Khan also scored for the TNT, with Sandra Grant making 18 saves for the shutout.
Friday night in North Surrey, South Fraser scored a pair of unanswered third period goals for a 3-2 win over Simon Fraser University. A goal from Sharon Ross had the TNT leading 1-0 after one period, but Kayle Kandt and Katrina Armstrong put SFU in front 2-1 after two periods.
Emily Muir and Hambly netted goals in the third period for the TNT.
The Richmond Devils completed their season with a 3-0 victory over TWU Saturday night in Richmond. Allison Detina, Simran Sidhu and Jacqueline Hamlin were the goal scorers, and Renee Romain earned her fourth shutout of the season.
