SCFAHL players face off against U18's

SCFAHL

Thirteen players from SCFAHL were on the roster of the Senior
Team BC last weekend (July 18-20), facing off against BC Hockey's under-18 team at its Summer Camp in Summerland.
Players from SCFAHL on the team included:
- Goaltender Alex Frisk, and forwards Vanessa Leuszler, Kirsten Hazzard and Clara Gaudet of the league champion Meadow Ridge Moose.
- Forwards Emily Edmundsen, Alyssa Reid, Rochelle Smith and Melinda Smith of the BC Hockey and Western Shield Senior A champion Kamloops Vibe.
- Defenders Haleigh Callison and Danielle Robb and forwards Kirsten Mihalcheon, Sharon Ross and Michelle Mony of the Western Shield bronze medalist South Fraser TNT.
The Senior team played three times against the U18 squad which will play at the Canada Winter Games next February in Prince George, earning a pair of draws along with a 5-2 loss.
Haleigh Callison scored the first goal of the weekend to give the Senior team a 1-0 lead in the first period of Frirday's game, which ended 1-1. The U18 team won the shootout which followed a scoreless overtime period.
Rochelle Smith scored once in the loss Saturday, with sister Melinda Smith assisting on both goals.
Rochelle Smith scored again Sunday, as did Danielle Robb, in a 2-2 draw.
