Moose Drop in standings after tough road trip

Maple Ridge News

The Meadow Ridge Moose had a tough road trip to Kamloops, taking just one of the four points available.

The local women drop to third place in the South Coast Female Amateur Hockey League, with a record of 4-2-2.

The two teams played to a scoreless tie on Saturday night, and then the host Vibe won 3-1 on Sunday.

During Saturday’s game, Moose goaltender Brianna Tham made 31 saves to earn the shutout, while Alana Parker had an incredible 16 blocked shots.

Madeline Cockrill scored the only goal for the Moose on the weekend.

On Saturday at 8:30 p.m. the Moose will host the Victoria Phantoms, who have just one win in five outings so far this season. That game will be played at the Pitt Meadows Arena, Chrysler Rink.
