Moose tied for first at the break

The Meadow Ridge Moose are in a three-way tie for first place in the South Coast Female Amateur Hockey League as the teams stand down for a two-week holiday break.

The South Fraser TNT and the Kamloops Vibe each have a part of first place, each with 22 points.

The Moose are the defending league champions, having taken it away from the Vibe, who took the title the year before.

The Moose played the Fraser Valley Jets to a 1-1 tie Saturday night in Pitt Meadows. Rachel Dong scored for the Moose, with goaltender Brianna Thamm stopping 29 of 30 shots.

The Moose will get back in action with a trip to Vancouver Island, where they will play the Victoria Phantoms on Jan. 3 and 4.
